I just got back from hiking trip outside Marathon Texas, just west of Big Bend National Park. 5 Days of hiking and sketching, the opposite of NYC. You can see photos at the link below. After doing some research, I found out that this area is the site of an ancient deep impact crater, the Sierra Modera Astrobleme. Perhaps this is what draws me back to the spot over and over again?
